What Public Square looked like before the Terminal Tower…

Public square

Just a step back in time. This is a shot of the south-west quadrant of Cleveland’s Public  Square taken 2/28/1916. Prior to the building of the Terminal Tower. I figured it out through omission.

1. No Soldiers and Sailors Monument

2. No Old Stone Church

3. No Society for Savings

ergo…the place the Terminal Tower now stands.

  1. Ha! The Park Building, where John and I worked, is in all of these pictures. Turns out it was built in 1904. Remarkable.
