“Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers”
“Spook: Science “Tackles the Afterlife”
“Bonk: The Curious Coupling of Science and Sex”
and finally “Packing for Mars: The Curious Science of Life in the Void”
I’ve got to tell you there are pages in this last book, “Packing” that sent me into gales of laughter. Such as Mary’s footnotes on the effects of zero gravity on your organs, how your waist get smaller as they float up into your ribcage, how your hair is fuller and your crow’s-feet fill out. I just laughed and laughed and thought of what a fortune a photographer would make in a studio up in space. I love a book that keeps me laughing and her explanation of the science of space and it’s effects on us is hysterical.
She makes the factual science of our human condition very funny, laughable and boy…I just love that. I’m off for her other books today, Stiff,Spook and Bonk. See ya later!
