This is “The Condensed History of Jefferson, Ashtabula County, Ohio” and if you page forward to page 107 you’ll see a report of a 4th of July celebration in that old barn that was even attended by Revolutionary War Veterans…so that old barn was built long before the main farmhouse and even before Franklin Kasson Knapp ever went on his “Gold Rush”…remember page 107 about “Frank Knapp’s Barn” ( but I’m sure the whole thing is fascinating reading)
